Blending the very best in modern pop punk with more traditional elements of hard rock, Element 101 may be the new kids on the block, but they certainly don't seem like it. 'Future.' is an absolutely stunning debut project, any established band would be proud to call their own. Produced by MxPx frontman Mike Herrera, Element 101 boasts some excellent musicianship, where Acocella (drums), Papa (guitar), Mizzone (guitar)and Ciaravino (bass) are heard to bring out the best in each other, resulting in a refreshingly up-beat and positive vibe to the proceedings. In vocalist/lyricist Crissie Verhagen, Element 101's sound is made complete. Though the band may wear certain influences on their sleeve, 'Future...' stands out as being truly original, even pioneering, in the way in which Element 101 seek to progress beyond the over familiar pop punk genre. Truly excellent.
