The rise and rise of the North Carolina-based Elevation Worship may not be quite as spectacular as Hillsong and Bethel, but it sure is producing some high quality worship music. And this 2018 album, wonderfully produced by Aaron Robertson, is right up there with their best ever albums. The opener, "Won't Stop Now", starts with a slow rise keys and a Marshal drum beat, with lead worshipper Brad Hudson oozing passion. The title track is even more outstanding, a song of brokenness and gratitude, and is a welcome counter-point to the triumphant message on some of the other songs. The lyrics are strong. "We are an altar of broken stones/But you delight in the offering/You have the heavens to call your home/But you delight in the song we sing/Ten thousand angels surround your throne/To bring you praise that will never cease/But hallelujah from here below/Is still your favourite melody." Nothing else on this album quite makes that song's towering heights, but the Tauren Wells-assisted "Echo" comes close. Throughout, the balance of slow-burners and up-beat tunes ensures the hour plus playing time of 'Hallelujah Here Below' goes quickly by. Yes, Elevation are still lifting us up.

Product Description
The brand new album from Elevation Worship. Hallelujah Here Below was inspired by Exodus 20:25 where God requests an altar built of imperfect stones. As living stones, he now asks us to bring him our rough edges and our broken pieces. He doesn’t expect our perfection - he created us to worship him in our imperfection. He already knows who you are. He was with you in your darkest valley. He was with you in your weakest moment, and he is with you now. Give him your hallelujah, praise God, from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below.
