From Illinois, this teenage rock chick has already been gaining attention Stateside even without a record deal by ploughing a common furrow amongst independents - high profile showcases, talent shows and developing a huge myspace page. The thing is, the hype is worthless if the album you deliver doesn't match up and how often has that been the story? But for Elyce, the buzz and the talent are in equal measure and she does a great line of melodic rock with a little edge thrown in here and there. The opening salvo of three songs set the scene with the title cut making a big impression. Things calm for "Beautiful" and "Forgiven" by comparison as the 18 year old demonstrates her diversity. "Revive Me" re-engages the crunchy guitars and the album's closer "Long Before The Sun" is a gentle way to finish everything. Elyce's powerful voice crowns everything and with songs that are ministry focussed and have something to say, it presses all my buttons. It's yet another example of how an unsigned American artist can be far better than many of the artists who find themselves on labels.

We had Elyce come and play at our church for one of our 5th Qtr events (we open our church after each home high school football game). She was incredible! She sounded just like the CD does which is great! I recommend that everyone go buy the CD. Good luck Elyce and may God richly bless you!!

i stand yet amazed at unsigned artist who can just tear up the christian music scene. and aren't willing to compromise. and ms elyce is one of them. she's a amazing young lady who loves God and loves music.

I got this album when it was released and it is great to discover new talent. Elyce is not just another 'rock chick' in the long line of Avril wannabe's. She has a unique sound and lyrically the album is superb. What more could you ask for? It's about time that one of the major labels picked her up.
If you are looking for something fresh to listen to then I would encourage you to get a hold of "Who I am" CD. It will be money well invested into the life and ministry of Elyce.

I think Elyce's 'Who I Am' CD is just awesome! My daughter downloaded it all onto her Ipod and I borrow it every time I go for my jog. By the time I get back to the house after running I am so inspired and feeling like I just attended a worship service.

Elyce's music is unique and great listening for all ages. My girls and I have nearly all of the songs memorized and sing them through out the day, without even realizing it, Lol. The CD is THAT good! Keep up the great music Elyce.

God Bless!

Elyce - Who I am. What can I say except.. she RoKs!!

This disc is a must..for anyone of any age. I'm 40..I love it.. my Ma is 62, she loooves it!

I know lotsa teenage peeps that are goofy 4 this cd!!

Seriously..I have been listening to music..most genres from Rock& Roll to C/W and Pop... since about 1980 and Elyce's voice/delivery and her wonderful/talented band are as good as anything out there, yesterday, today and till Jesus comes, I would wager.

It's because..not just who Elyce is...sincere, caring and anointed. But because of Who lives in her heart.

:)

And He had a plan for her, long before the sun...to witness for Him, the LORD Jesus.. through music.

I'm blessed.

Be blessed yourself and aquire a copy of Elyce's, "Who I am".

Sincerely,

Thomas Johnson
