A single from a German singer/songwriter, "Will You Wait For Me" is a beautiful song about the angst of waiting for God's perfect partner and whether we will trust God or try on our own. Sung in English, for those who struggle with German, it is presented here in three different formats. The first version (radio edit) opens with a nice full sounding piano riff which then underpins the clean vocals from Emanuel. Generally it works well though at points there are slightly too many words to fit the tune. It is not over sentimental and builds nicely before coming to a quiet finish. The second version (unplugged) is a basic acoustic guitar with chorus fills by an electric and if anything works better than the full keyboard arrangement of the radio edit. The final version (singalong) is the radio edit with the vocal line removed.
