A Southern gospel album which recently topped America's Christian music charts, this is a fine young group who here demonstrate that the younger side of Southern gospel has all the harmony and musicianship of the classic oldsters. They have some guest artists; the very promising Ball Brothers sing a very lively "I Sing The Mighty Power Of God", and The Gaither Vocal Band join in on another couple of tracks including that much sung Gaither classic "He Touched Me". Personally I could have done without two or three patriotic American songs, ie, "God Bless America", which spoil this DVD but I have to say that overall this is an outstanding project. It is hard to pick a favourite track but I will go for "John In The Jordan". With a running time of 105 minutes the DVD provides outstanding value and even if Southern gospel is not normally to your taste, Ernie and Co's take on the gospel harmony tradition is well worth investigating.
