A breath of pure inspiration! May blessings abound on the person who decided to place Pachelbel's "Canon In D" first on this disc, and what a great version, played, if I am not very much mistaken, on period instruments. My only gripe with this disc is that of all the Vivaldi that could have been included, they go and choose "Winter" from The Four Seasons', which you may recall features earlier in the series. All of the pieces on this disc are a delight and if anything will lift sagging spirits, it's an earful of a disc!
