Brain child of Derek Jones (ex Winter Winds ('91) and Sleepy Hollow ('92)), Fatal Blast Whip have evolved from out of an indie goth rock past, into a blend of dark wave post industrial noise experimentation, without a single guitar tone within ear shot. "Seduction EP", FBW's second recording to date, comes complete with four re-interpretations of the title cut by other underground artists (such as Pivot Clowj, Scar Tissue and Battery). There are also four studio tracks by the band - "Slave Device", "Re-Creation" (from Part 1 of the Cataclysm Singles "Machines In The Garden") and "Dr. Death" as well as "Forbidden" (from Part 2 of the Cataclysm Singles "Collapsing Structure" which is uncredited on the sleeve. Having been able to produce this particular work himself, Derek Jones has seemingly succeeded in reproducing his vivid images into well-crafted sound scapes; resulting in "Seduction" being a fascinating, compelling and unpredictable work of artful noise manipulation. Not content with the current industrial musical genre, Derek Jones' vision here expressed is that of paving a new path of sonic experimentation, with the use of the most up to date technology with which to distort and create sound. FBW is yet another fine example of an exciting musical genre in the making, where breaking new ground is the common musical creed based upon Christ-centred convictions.
