Marty McCall really shines on this recording, with his
songwriting talents and lead vocals. The first time I had
heard of Marty was hearing his bgvs on top ccm artist, Amy
Grant's first initial recordings. Marty co-
wrote and sang bgvs on "Bridegroom" on Amy's 1979
"My Father's Eyes". I loved "Someone's Got A Hold On Me"
from first hearing on ccm radio; Marty wrote this song; wtg
Marty! Marty was a very busy man in 1980, adding his superb
bgvs to other ccm artists' recordings like top ccm artist
Pam Mark Hall's album,
"Never Fades Away". I was kinda surprised that this album
was recorded in a church; as the music style was not really
totally accepted in most at this time: only a few of the
songs like "It All Comes Down To YOU". After the years with
Fireworks, Marty would become part of great ccm trio First
Call; so glad that he is part of it: got to see them in
concert in the late 80's (they opened for Amy Grant). GOD
Bless! -Don
