In case you didn’t know, PAIS is a schools outreach ministry doing fantastic work taking the Gospel to swathes of young people. They run three bands, all (rather confusingly) using the Flipside moniker, and this is the Preston version, or maybe I should say was. Like other ministry initiatives, for instance TVB, band members sign on for a year, so presumably by the time you read this some or all of the musos featured on this six-song CD have already moved on to pastures new. This is hardly groundbreaking stuff, though Laura Bailey has a strong-ish voice able to hold its own over the pop rock, though it’s the funk of “Take My Hand” that works best.
