This is something different and interesting from an Israeli lady who writes and sings with her husband Rami. The lyrics in the sleeve are in both Hebrew and English, several songs are performed in Hebrew, but if you think that this is all lai-lai-lai and oy-oy-oy, then you are mistaken. Gabriela has a voice to die for, a strong, passionate, gutsy mezzo-soprano. The band is tight and together, production quality is well up to the mark, and whilst some of the songs could've been stronger both musically and lyrically, the better ones are good; there's even one by our own Colin and Carol Owens. Worth a punt.
