The Boys are back in town! Only this time with an EP containing cover versions of Kiss' "I Want You" and rare Wings' track "Junior's Farm" (complete with manic animal noises!), "Idle Minds", "9th Of June" (both of which are live), "Paradigm Shift" and the EP's title track. Though 'Feel The Rage' comes complete with all the trimmings one has come to expect from the Cowboys, I cannot help but feel disappointed. The live cuts, whilst capturing the band's harder moments, do not come across as being well produced (though arguably they do act as alternative versions to those found on 'Machine Fish'). Perhaps it was down to their producer and/or record company which lead to the recording of "I Want You", either way I was not impressed by its inclusion, given its obvious sexual connotation. "Paradigm Shift", the only original recording on the EP, looks at what effect post modernism and liberal thinking has and is having upon this "unsettled, angst driven, disaffected generation (which is) far away from ever after", and is the record's only potential highlight...but even this does not give the band due credit; leaving only the title cut with which to do the job...but as this track can already be found on their latest album, you would be far better off getting hold of 'Machine Fish'.
