Garth Hewitt, one of the true stalwarts of the British CCM scene, releases "the official Christian Aid Trade Justice song" as a four-track CD single. (A four-song recording is an EP. Ed) It offers the title song, a backing track for congregations to sing along with and two songs from the Christian Aid musical The Feast Of Life, one featuring gospel great Jessy Dixon. It comes as no surprise to find Hewitt, with his track record of working alongside Christian Aid and singing about justice and reconciliation worldwide, fronting this new campaign for change to the rules governing international trade. The themes are so powerful that the musical 'quality' matters little, but suffice it to say that anyone familiar with Garth's easy, acoustic style will find no surprises in this quiet anthem. Every blessing with the campaign, guys. 10 squares for the campaign; 5 squares for the music.
