A band consisting of the sons and daughters of CCM luminaries. So you get Chris and Amanda Omartian (Michael and Stormie), Rachel Gaines (Billy and Sarah) and Akil Thompson (drummer Chester). It is yet another big budget American pop dance album specifically aimed at the teenage population, the producer uses a number of different music styles and it is at this stage I think the album is really let down. You could tell, for instance, that the producer's background is in rock. Why they had to use that distorted guitar sound on virtually all the songs is a mystery to me. The rap songs were absolutely stunning though and I could even detect a bit of Snoop Doggy Dog's style. This is where I think a lot of non-Christians could be reached. I just hope that in future American CCM labels would actually go to the streets and get street producers to produce street music. It doesn't sound convincing otherwise. I recommend this album if only for the track "Magnify".
