This album has maturity written all over it. Earlier Geoff Moore albums flirted with styles as diverse as techno-rock and heavy metal but now the man seems to have found himself with a laid back West Coast groove pitched somewhere between Springsteen and the Eagles. Songs too are often reflective, calling times past when things seemed so simple. In the hands of a lesser artist this kind of thing could become maudlin but Geoff has never been in better voice while The Distance play pleasing classy AOR with the minimum of fuss. An album you'll keep returning to.
