There are many examples of people who try to go on past their prime. I was cycling once and got run over by an octogenarian woman. Apparently, she gave up driving after that. The ageing Bing Crosby should never have been allowed to partner Bowie in 1982 with "Little Drummer Boy", the Crooner had lost it (some might say Ziggy wasn't far off, either!). Well, sad to say, so has the veteran baritone, long associated with Dr Billy Graham. George has, of course, faithfully served in the Kingdom for nigh on forever. You can admire his longevity, wonder at his ministry and marvel at the fact he has sung to over 225 million people across the world. But frankly, there are some things you should stop at age 95. Public singing is one of them...people will revere, be polite, have respect for the past, but undeniably the sentiment will be "wasn't he good" not "isn'"'. It is sad, but a simple fact of reality. There are 30 old hymns here ranging from "Blessed Assurance" to "The Old Rugged Cross" and doubtless hardcore nostalgists may want to add this to their collection. My advice though, for what it's worth, is: Stop driving, George.
