George Beverly Shea is Billy Graham's favourite gospel singer, famous for singing at his crusades since 1947. These songs have been taken from the master tapes of Billy Graham's Hour Of Decision radio programme and had some keyboard added to make them a little more acceptable. I'm sure that this man of God has had a great influence in his time, as part of Billy Graham's team. Yet, to me and I suspect most listeners today who aren't susceptible to dewey-eyed nostalgia, these recordings will sound like creaking museum pieces. I did listen to this album all the way through more than once. I then decided that it would make a very good present for my mother and the other ladies that live in her retirement home. I think that they would appreciate this more than me.
