Subtitled 'The Definitive Gospel Album', this is 28 newly recorded tracks which includes contributions and duets from such luminaries as Skeeter Davis, Connie Smith, The Whites, George Hamilton V, and with the Grand Ole Opry cast on the second version of "Circle Of Wood". George Hamilton IV has always been very adept at finding good new original material and I only knew three of the 27 songs ("Circle Of Wood"is recorded twice) which are the two Charlie Landsborough classics "What Colour Is The Wind" and "My Forever Friend" and "Jesus, It's Me Again" by Canada's Dick Damron. The songs are all very strong and memorable with the exception of the oddly titled "I've Never Seen An Armored Car Following A Hearse". Tracks that really stand out are "Circle Of Wood" and "Leave It To Me", but it is hard to pick too many favourites when the whole album is wonderful powerful songs, superbly produced by Gary Buck. This two CD album is simply a gem!
