Although Graham Denny gets front sleeve credit, it seems that all the lead vocals are by one Graham Marwood who wrote the music and produced the album, playing nearly all the instruments (with a few contributions from Graham Denny and Glen Cronin). Mr Denny wrote the lyrics. Leaving aside the confusing sleeve, there is some interesting music here. The first song to catch my ear was "Sometimes (Toybox Child)", a moving and vivid depiction of life on the streets for a seven year old (Duncan Dyason, whose Toybox Charity rescues kids from the streets of Latin America, provides a sleevenote). Another good song was "Waiting Bed", written in colourful first person narrative song of dying. If all this gives the impression of a heavy listen, it's not. The album is overflowing with vibrant Christian faith. Graham Marwood has an appealing voice and the acoustic guitar rhythms are well played though the Yamaha electronic drums rather show up the limitations of the budget. Worth investigating.
