Grapevine has a history of producing high quality live worship albums and this is no exception. The album has a very cleverly produced opening come title track, "There Is A Promise", which starts with minimal accompaniment and haunting vocals from Hannah Holland and builds to a climax with the whole auditorium rising in praise. The album continues with a mix of styles to suit most tastes with songs from Godfrey Birtill, Chris Bowater, Dave Middleton, Andy Bromley and Geraldine Latty - all of whom lead their own songs. Even the traditional hymns are not left out with a nice blending of the Wesley classics "O For A Thousand Tongues" and "And Can It Be". The sound is full, benefiting from a large band, string section and choir at the event and some well integrated strings recorded after the event. The stand out tracks are Geraldine Latty's wonderful "Worship God" and the very provoking "Still God".
