This John and Dino Elefante produced set reveals rock/blues influences without neglecting the security of Guardian's metal tag. As well as power tracks such as "Mr Do Wrong", "Sister Wisdom" and "Long Way Home", some interesting almost acoustic tracks are featured on which Jamie Rowe's lead vocals stretches impressively. Although this is Guardian's third album Jamie joined for their second after being a fan of the original line up. My favourite tracks is "I Found Love", which includes Tony Palacio's guitar with more than just a passing resemblance of a certain Mr R Wood of Faces notoriety. Lyrically the songs reflect the group's faith without being cliche ridden. Altogether a fine album but possibly not the classic that I've no doubt will come! Just a thought - how about doing an 'Unplugged' and leaving the metal for the studio?
