'Odd 1 Out' is a bit of a milestone release for the MOBO award-winning rapper as it made number one on the UK Christian & Gospel Chart. It's an upbeat and mainly dance-orientated project with lyrics about faith, hope and positivity. "Big Boy Riddim" drops a beat which morphs into a drum'n'bass beat complimented by Guvna B's multi-paced delivery. "Do It Like You" is another beast, with uplifting hook and dubstep-like bass while "Letting Go" is an uplifting party track. The project really pushes the boat out in terms of production and time after time, Guvna B flows and rides each and every rhythm. "Won't Give It Up" is filled with harmonies yet powerfully addresses the issue of sexual purity - moving seamlessly into "Wedding Song" which is exactly what it says. "Love Life" is possibly the standout track with a strong vocal hook while "Live In You" features Lindz West of LZ7. The penultimate title track is a challenge: "You were born to be different and stand out/Why you fitting in?/Stand up or stand down. . ./Embrace who you are/Put that something back in God. . ." A powerful message from one of the finest albums to emerge from the ever-expanding UK gospel hip-hop underground.
