Jamie Hill (Quench) and Ben Jack (Galactus Jack) are experienced musicians who have linked up to make a bold, brave attempt to move the worship genre into a new place and to give it an appeal to a wider audience. Electronic dance beats full of party synths, driving bass, jingles and squeals underscore the lyrical desire to "feel" the melodies of God being reflected in worship. This is an interesting musical palette of light and shade, rhythmically powerful with musical colours diving in and out of the mix like dolphins in the ocean around a boat. To clarify, the EP comprises a full-length version (nearly eight minutes) of the "Melodies" track. Track two is the first half of the whole song repeated and track three is the second half of the complete song repeated. Track four is a three-minute alternate version of "Melodies" simply sung with solo voice and acoustic guitar, a gentle, tuneful, reflective rendition in modern worship style. The composers' desire is that "this new project seeks to use different styles of music to take people on a journey of worshipping Jesus," In general this aim is successfully accomplished.
