Unlike her previous recordings released on the popular ccm
label of myrrh; this Christmas lp is released on sparrow.
Side 1 begins with traditional holiday songs put into a
nearly 12 minute suite. Just listen to Honeytree's fingers
upon those strings; and add her simple & true vocals;
wonderful harmony.
Side 1 ends with a 1 1/2 minute instrumental of "Coventry
Carol". Side 2 enlists new songs for the holiday;The first
is a French carol about The CHRIST Child: a very simple
Christmas melody, nicely done.
"Children's Song of the Nativity" follows; one of my
favorites I might add. "The World's Desire", another new
song, is quite commendable. I have always luved the song
"Some Children See HIM"; pop icon James Taylor did a
beautiful recording in 2006. The last song is a one penned
by Honeytree, "Christmas, Joy of Children"; thank you for
this beautiful new song Honeytree. Also, this is the year 2
albums were released by Honeytree; to include a collection
of her best. GOD Bless! -Don
