The worship leader on this set is David Ritter who the sleeve tells us is the minister of music at Phoenix First Assembly. I've enjoyed many of the Hosanna tapes down the years but this one with its heavy, neo-classical orchestrations features the worst kind of over-the-top arrangements which don't sit too well this side of the Atlantic. Maybe some will go for the Rev Ritter's overblown versions of "Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee" or Sibelius' "Finlandia" but for me his heavy handedness masks the appeal of the new worship songs from Lynn De Shazo. Pass on this one.
