At last - an American live worship tape that isn't high on the cringe scale! This is due to three major factors: firstly, the quality of songwriting is high, with Mark Altrogge writing the bulk of the material. Secondly, it's well produced by Tom Brooks and thirdly, (and this makes or breaks live worship) it is beautifully led throughout by Bob Kauflin, formerly with vocal group Glad. Side one is mainly uptempo and vibrant with an energetic collection, but this merely serves as a taster for a quite outstanding second side. All the songs are linked together and build up the sense of worship with "We Are Your Treasure", moving into Altrogge's inspired "Thank You For The Cross" and then the equally uplifting "You Sat Down". 'Chosen Treasure' could be open to severe irony if it didn't deliver the goods. It does. A jewel.
