I've got a friend who considers Impellitteri the finest metal band on the planet and though I wouldn't go that far I can see why Chris Impellitteri's slash-and-burn guitar stylings have brought them a cult following in the rock and metal worlds. As with previous Impellitteri albums, Chris' faith comes through loud and clear on songs like "Judgement Day" and "Dance With The Devil" while his song "Punk" has a go at everything from Eminem, bubble gum pop and "another rap metal whore" (wonder who he had in mind there). Throughout his surging guitar propelled by concrete solid bass and drums and those histrionic vocals keep the adrenaline pumping. Modern rock fans may find this metal feast a bit too dated for their tastes but all power to the band for surviving after mass acceptance of their particular take on hard music has moved on.
