This is a six track EP from an obscure British five piece. Quiet keyboard verses are interspersed with more rock guitar-led choruses with the occasional guitar solo. It is clear that this is a low budget recording as the production layers the mix such that the vocals appear in a different room from all the instruments, whilst the drums sound like some kitchen pots and pans. The guitars let rip in a dynamic style however and do well in holding the band together. Having said that the growls in the backing vocals sound like they could be due to a faulty microphone and the lead vocalist sometimes forgets to actually pronounce the words. With evangelical lyrics such as on "I Left Heaven For You" this is a drawback. The album has caught a flavour of what the band sounds like live so if the thought of evangelistic pub rock appeals, this may be for you.
