Los Angeles-based worship collective Influence Music have a penchant for offering up expertly-delivered songs with big arrangements which connect with the listener in a supremely spiritual way and the group's latest album is no exception. Showcasing the sheer talent contained within Influence Church of Anaheim Hills, California, this 10-track album features numerous vocalists - each giving top notch performances in front of a stellar band to ensure that this worship release is a cut above the rest in terms of diversity and innovation. Amongst the singers, Michael Ketterer gives his all on the title track to skilfully portray Jesus' association with rebels, sinners and dreamers whilst the preceding single "Redeemed" finds Matt Gilman communicate a stirring message of hope to those on the prodigal path home. Elsewhere, the Whitney Medina-led "Abandoned" is a fine slice of EDM pop which paves the way for some deep spoken word poetry from hip-hop act Propaganda on "Soil & Sky". Ultimately, this piece of work knows exactly when to ebb and flow for maximum impact - none more so than in the stunning "Over And Over" which starts off as a straightforward enough modern worship song before hurtling towards an explosive and surprising conclusion.
