The ratio of new choruses to old ones is often an indicator as to whether or not a book is going to be worth buying and while there are plenty of golden oldies here there are enough decent new songs to make this book worth having. Several of the ones featured on the Kenoly albums are included and help to disprove the theory that music has to be inane to be accessible to Joe Public. My one complaint here is that transcriptions have taken chords from the disc arrangements and this means that you need to have a degree from the Metheney or Meola school of guitar before you can tackle them. I think these could easily have been simplified, for instance, in "Mourning To Dancing , the second chord is F sharp m7 flat 5 which could have been written as Am/F sharp and would then have made a lot more sense to your average punter. Several of the best songs are not easy to read because of the syncopation so prepare to be frustrated - a listen to the source discs is really helpful if you can and to this end it would have been worthwhile to have a discography. As it is, you will have to hunt around for recordings of some of the songs. The indexes have been well planned, including one which links several songs for you in pre made medleys and they offer a welcome helping hand to the time pressed worship leader.
