Like other albums in this series, 'Overcoming Guilt' is intended as an aid to memorising Scriptures. It features some well known vocalists Rick Riso and John Barbour as well as a few who are new to me such as Gene Miller, Leanne Albrecht and Susie Stevens. Good new songs that serve up the Bible passages appropriate to the subject. Some songs are cheery and encouraging, others are appropriately sensitive and cautious. Only one thing occurs to me. Maybe it's a radical thought in these 'feel good' days, but sometimes we are supposed to feel guilty. Pity if this album was used to induce a 'false peace' of an altered mood where a healthy dose of repentance is required. Just a thought.
