This long play compilation from Integrity features tracks from their Interludes instrumental series drawing from albums such as 'Grace', 'Peace', 'Mercy' and 'Love'. If you know these albums then you will be familiar with the style: segue arrangements often featuring expansive (or is it expensive?) strings behind a variety of soloists such as flute, piano, classical guitar and the ubiquitous pan pipes. It strikes me that the popularity of instrumental versions of praise and worship songs is much based on the listener being familiar with the words of the original song. Take away the words (or knowledge of the words) from some of these tracks and I feel you are left with music that is well played but not meditative in the true sense.
