Reviewed by Tom Lennie Got a feeling this lullabies album is intended to touch the child in all of us, ie, it's not solely directed at kids. Certainly the songs aren't written by the usual children's ministry composers. These specially commissioned tunes penned by an impressive variety of songsmiths including, Marc James (Verra Cruz, Vineyard), Joanne Hogg (Iona), David & Yvonne Lyon, Tre Sheppard (Onehundredhours), Cathy Burton and Andy Arganda (Soul Survivor). The 12 tracks are sung by James, Burton and Arganda. And most tenderly rendered they are - the fine, sensitive vocals of each especially shining through on delicate arrangements put together by wise old production hand and guitar maestro Dan Wheeler. The lyrical content is full of affirmation and Christ-centred messages. The title track is a prayer over your child as you watch over their sleep, that God would be part of their future and everything. Said Burton, who leads on this track, "I was really moved by the fragility of the 'little ones' and the awesome love that God has and gives us for them. It's a beautiful song and a great project." Then there's tracks like "Tomorrow We Can Start Again" and "Love Is Still Watching", which are gorgeous songs of inspiration, an encouragement to any child of God, whatever age.

A beautiful CD for my by boy to go to sleep to. And lovely for grown ups too!
