This track finds Nebraska-based hip-hop artist Joshua Crum in a defiant mood with some characteristic scattergun rapping adorning a song which states that the man's life and career is on the up and up. Crum is a deft deliverer of wordplay and there's much to take in from references to being at the top of his game artistically to being satisfied with God's timing and blessings whilst all the while peppering this piece with the bravado that comes with mainstream hip-hop but without the expletives, sex and violence. In fact, he disses the approach of hardcore rappers with lines like "hearing y'all selling death for profit" and, although the "broken pieces of futons" refrain might need some explaining, Crum's gifting lies in the fact that he can fit a thesis on hip-hop culture into a three minute song.
