An object lesson in how to get radio airplay - big guitars and vocals, instantly engaging anthemic choruses and just enough rock edge to grab the teenage ears - the perfect illustration of the American Christian mainstream, perhaps? This album debut from an Arkansas band occupies that well trodden ground between rock and pop. 'Come Undone' includes tracks from the band's first release, the 'Centre Of Attention' EP while one song here "Give Me Amazing Grace" is currently getting US Christian radio play. Lyrically, the band are happy to mine the well dug seam of moving-toward-the-Jesus-light ideas ... "giving me a new start, create in me a new heart" from the new single is typical. However, they have got some very strong tunes - "Jamie's Song" and "Let It Fly" both have great choruses. However, the album suffers from a lack of dynamic variation. It's all very mid tempo and even the songs which start a bit quieter end up sooner or later with multi layered guitars and a big chorus. You can feel a bit anthem-ed out by about track seven or eight. The band do have some very good tunes though; they just need a producer who has more of a feel for how to serve up an album's worth of them.
