This was first released as a download in 2011 so it's taken your favourite website a goodly while to catch up with that quirky soul pop talent's take on Christmas songs. The best cut by far is a wonderfully catchy version of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" which with its cooing girl chorus takes the ancient carol into places unimagined by cathedral choirs. Unfortunately, this four-song EP also contains a version of "Christmas Won't Be Late", a song you may have endured when rendered by Alvin & The Chipmunks and even the precocious talent of Jamie can't save it. However, that's almost made up for by a good version of "What Child Is This" where the lady is accompanied by rockers Abandon Kansas. Expect to hear "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" on the radio (at least Cross Rhythms Radio) for years to come.
