Manchester-based singer, songwriter and worship leader Jamie Pritchard has released his first EP, produced by Dan Stirling, which includes collaborations with artists such as Jonathan Ogden and Caleb Choo from Rivers & Robots. In the midst of a heavily saturated worship music industry, this EP offers something particularly fresh. Pritchard's raw and earnest vocals on top of an eclectic soundtrack of acoustic guitar, with hints of country/folk, through to the indie rock sound found on "There's A Fire" create a different vibe from the average, overly-produced worship albums that we have become accustomed to. "Depths" comes with a catchy chorus that will soon have you singing along without even realising it, and "Heaven's Holding Me" is both a song that could be played at an open-mic night as well as fitting beautifully for a time of personal worship. Pritchard has done a great job of creating a collection of songs that earnestly go after a deeper intimacy with God and feeds a desire for something more.
