Out for ages but never reviewed in CR, whatever the title of this album conjures up in your mind, forget it. This album is a misnomer, firstly it contains only one true song (all the rest are instmmentals), secondly this has nothing to do with the football club based in West Bromwich, so you're OK there. The music is based upon a book 'The Paradise War" by novelist Stephen Lawhead which you'll know about if you've been to Greenbelt. The general feel of the album is very much in the Clannad or lona style, with a nod towards Van Morrison's 'Inarticulate Speech Of The Heart' instruĀmental too. Best of these are the opener 'The EndurĀing Story' which whirls you off into another world and 'Heart Of The Heart' which is reminiscent of mid-70s/early 80s concept albums of the Alan Parsons Project idiom. Just imagine mist-covered Lochs and Celtic-influences and you're half way there. This is a fine production which is billowingly evocative
