Devotees of the British gospel scene will know Jennifer possesses awesome vocal chops and the fact that it’s taken so long to get an album into the record shop racks is nothing short of amazing. Is this the album that will lift her reputation beyond the gospel cognoscente? I’m not sure. Production by Jay Bee is pretty good with plenty of funky programming but too many of the songs, many self-penned, are let down by naff lyrics (just catch those cooed bvs refrain of “I love you bad, bad, bad, bad baby” on “I’m Loving You” or the artless rhymes on “Romeo”). As happens on similar projects when church girls go after the R&B market, Jennifer sounds far more convincing when she’s singing songs about the Lord (“That’s The Reason Why”). But there’s still good stuff here to check out – I particularly liked the bonus remix of “All About Me”.

Hello Jennifer,

You may remember Adeyemi from the Spot and many other places around London that you've performed at.

Never mind what critics of your first CD have to say. Another CD is long overdue in my view.

Take care and keep the good work going.

Ade

Jennifer, God has blessed you with a fantastic voice and a wonderful spirit. In this life you cannot please all the people, all the time. Be strong and follow your heart.

Was not impressed at all. The opening track is a disgrace and the vocals on that song, I've heard her do better when singing gospel. For 2002, it's kinda out dated...and the track called Romeo, well what can I say. Infact there is not much originality on this album. I believe if Jennifer was really true to who she is to be, this album would be alot better. Jennifer I challenge you to live according to the truth and record the truth, and gurantee you'll do a whole lot better. God Bless

Dear sister in London, you state that if Jennifer was really true to who she should be, the album would be alot better. Is it the album you are critical of or are you personalising you feelings about Jennifer? I challenge you to be true to how you feel about JP so that you may see the album for what it is-pure art.

If you are a sister then God help your brother's and sister's in Christ. The album may not be to your taste but it is morally sound and the production is not as bad as you make out. May the Lord help you to be filled with GRACE when approaching a subject that you may need to critcize. God Bless.
