After a decade away from the CCM scene, Detroit, Michigan native and vocal powerhouse Jill Parr has returned with 'I Still Want More'. Having previously released three albums on different labels (all of which folded shortly after!) this indie album shows Jill has lost none of her soulful vocal style. Over a backdrop of swirling, atmospheric synths and keys, kicking drum-beats and crunching guitars the experienced songstress covers the full vocal range from soft and sensitive ballads to punchy full-on rockers. Plumbing the depths of her soul she pours her heart out in a message of encouragement to live whole-heartedly for God without fear. The classic Russ Taff/The Call oldie "I Still Believe" is given a rousing remake while modern worship gems like "Good, Good Father" and "Revelation Song" put many larger-budget worship brands to shame. Parr particularly shines on her own material (co-written with her producer husband Brian Hardin) with "Passionate People" a fiery plea from the heart to God to move in people's lives. A very impressive return from a talented vocalist. Welcome back Jill Parr.
