Jo describes her music as "New folk" on her website though in truth this really defies strict categorisation. Lyrically her songs are challenging, deep and mysterious yet at the same time have an almost childlike feel as does her hauntingly crystal clear sensitive voice. Instrumentally this is unconventional too featuring accompaniment from squeeze box and a children's toy piano. If you have Jo's fine 'Paperclips Et Sand' album you'll already have these songs. But if not, as an introduction to a freshly original singer/songwriter, why not investigate this excellent singer/songwriter.
