Jodi Benson has a good voice (if a bit cloyingly sweet for everyone's tastes) and Walli is nice enough for a chap in a plastic turtle suit. But somehow this, one of a six-episode series, on teaching under nines truth about "real life challenges" (this episode Trust, Sportsmanship and Friends) just doesn't connect. A lot of it involves Jodi and Walli sitting around a brightly arrayed studio talking to a bunch of squeaky clean (and squeaky voiced) kids about their subject matter occasionally interspersed with songs and stories. Maybe its the obvious way in which all the kids cutesy responses are scripted. Maybe it's just the sheer lack of imagination in the production values. But this is another example of American Christian kid stuff not weathering the trip across the Atlantic.
