Have you, like me, ever been laughing away with the family at a really funny guy on TV, only for him to suddenly slip in a profanity or worse? Well there are no such worries with this DVD which features an episode of the American TV series with stand-up comedian John Branyan. It seems to me, from the comments of colleagues at work, that there is great respect for comedians who can amuse without the use of four-letter words. So there is a huge amount of respect due to John with his observations on real life experiences and everyday observations, he can spot humour everywhere, even in hospital signs! Born in Valparaiso, Indiana and first stepping on to a stage in 1990 John has been making people laugh since the age of four with a debut routine of guinea pig impersonations. John's gift of wit has seen him much in demand across America; he is also a talented writer contributing to the American Comedy Network and co-writing and performing in a stage play Crazy Love. John is totally at ease standing in front of an audience, totally unfazed when material sometimes does not quite hit the mark. He often uses himself as a target of fun and an incident with a gym climbing rope brought a vivid flashback for me. Camping, family games and scientific facts all come under the spotlight in a routine that needs no alteration whether John is performing at a corporate function, comedy club, or in front of a group of church ministers. He might have to watch himself with cat lovers though!
