From the near hysterical intro from Vance Allen to the closing spoof phone calls and door slam, here's a studio album that features upbeat material like "He's The Greatest" and the stomper "I Won't Let Go" that are standard fare on gospel recordings. 'Blessed By Association' also sees Kee going in a few different directions. There's African music on "Karamu", the sound of the Caribbean on "So Glad I'm Here" and, surprisingly, even a bit of country/Southern gospel on "Just For Me". Overall though, I am not convinced that this achieves anything other than leaving the album feeling disjointed. Having said that, "At The Cross" features some brilliant interplay between Kee and choir and although Kee enjoys a reputation as one of the pillars of the gospel fraternity, I'm left feeling that this album does not cut it in the same way that 'Not Guilty' did.
