Scottish songwriter Johnny Caddell has been writing songs for over 15 years both solo and in bands, and his latest project benefits from these years of experience. All the tracks on this 10-song album are well written, some tackling tough subjects from repentance, the End Times and the need to tell people the Good News evoking a love or hate response (the quirky "Panic"). The album is weighted towards the acoustic ballad with an acapella harmony song, "God (You Honour Me)", thrown in for good measure. There are up tempo moments, the opening "God Of The Second Chance" gets the album off to a blast of rock while the title track is full on country rock. Not a bad album but in the crowded current music marketplace it fails to stand out.
