'Life Music' was the title of the Chicago-based gospel man's first album and now 'Stage Two' presents the now college teacher in a more mature frame of mind. There are some outstanding tracks here: "Whole" should gain radio airplay with joint vocals from international artist India Arie to help the cause. There is also a duet with Chantae Cann on "Maintain", a ballad on being dependent on God. Jonathan's voice at times reminds me of Bruno Mars and this is demonstrated on "The Way That You Love Me". The album also showcases Jonathan's songwriting talent, "Limp" portraying heartening candour as the singer "keeps on walking with his limp" as he battles with his struggles. 'Life Music: Stage Two' presents a developing artist who writes music that relates to his audience. I look forward to future releases.
