Kaeli is a singer/songwriter with a light country pop style that is very easy to listen to. She has been performing and touring for several years and in that time has honed her sound to the point where Britain's Right Recordings are releasing her debut into the mainstream pop market. Kaeli is more than another wannabe pop-princess, 'I Can Fly' consists of nine self-penned and two co-written songs. Stylistically think of Tina Arena and LeAnn Rimes with bit of the fresh and innocent sound of Lene Marlin. The arrangements are open and uncluttered, giving good breathing space to Kaeli's voice and never swamping her. There is no Christian content in any of the song lyrics - Kaeli sings of subjects like fulfilling one's dreams in both the title song (which is also her first single) and "Take A Chance", a celebration of what a true friend is in "A Friend Like You", going home when you've realised that the grass isn't actually greener on the other side in "Home", a somewhat sugary celebration of her dad in "You Were The First" (in a similar vein to Bob Carlisle's "Butterfly Kisses") and a celebration of what is American written in response to the September 11th 2001 disaster. It doesn't set the world alight but is a competent debut.
