You're 17 years old and want to start writing your first hip-hop project. So what do you write about? You speak about your own life, telling your own story. That's what New Jersey's rapper set out to do in this, Kaleb's first (and free) release. This album is a showcase for the great potential that this rapper has. Delivery and production is tight and he is as focused as the excellent track by the same name. The instrumentals move from mainly East coast to Midwest and with a hint of a Southern vibe at times ("Lost My Way", "Going For Broke"). An impassioned and impressively mature flow just pours out of the emcee throughout with "Land Of The Free" being an outstanding example. Kaleb is often serious in his lyrics but never descends into hopelessness, with "Moving On" being a clear message of God's grace. Promising.
