Continuing to focus on God's love for Israel, Messianic worship leader Karen Davis' 'Israel My Beloved' presents a predominantly ambient collection of songs which are ideal for facilitating a session of meditative worship. Sweeping electronics, moody guitar riffs and Rhodes synths are just a few of the sounds accompanying Karen's vocals throughout the album creating a very relaxing atmosphere for the listener. Nevertheless, each track, with the exception of "Awake You Who Sleep" and the title track which adopt a more upbeat tempo and a varied arrangement, lacks individuality as each appears almost identical in style and lyrical approach to the other. This is slightly disappointing in contrast to Davis' previous album 'Sar Shalom: Breakthrough From The Land Of Israel' which has much more variation in tempo and instrumental arrangement throughout its 13 songs.
