Female singers singing inspirational and worship-based pop songs are nothing new but when done well, as it is here, they still have the power to touch the heart and speak to the mind. This is the second studio album from the Texan worship leader who has enjoyed considerable success Stateside. Kari's vocals are equally at home on the up tempo numbers, like "Find You On My Knees", as the more contemplative ones, such as the piano-based "What Love Is This" with Kari's voice floating around the piano line. The songwriting is consistently good and the big budget production does it proud. From the opening strings of "Steady My Heart", accentuating the message that God will steady our heart in whatever situation we find ourselves, the music always compliments the lyrics with some memorable melodies and hooks. If you like uplifting pop done well, go get this album.
