Largely Kenny Smith and a computer and if you like this kind of soul with samples dominating you'll probably like this crisp album of budget line soul gospel. Personally, I found the opener a propelling dance groove with lyrics from the book of Daniel very catchy though not exactly the New Jack Gospel claimed by Premier. His version of "A Change Is Gonna Come" takes liberties with the melody and being a song entirely unsuited for drum programmes is distinctly lacking in soul. Still, elsewhere there are some tasty moments, Kenny's voice oozing soulfully over some quite acceptable grooves which though not in the Teddy Riley class show that gospel is definitely beginning to come to terms with the shape and sound of nineties black music.
